The recruiting process is confusing, overwhelming, and often discouraging.

Timelines are unclear. Rules change. Families are left guessing.
Athletes don’t know how to stand out or what coaches really want.
Without support, great opportunities slip by and confidence fades fast.

From overwhelmed to empowered.

With the right support, your daughter will:

  • Know what to do and when to do it

  • Send strong, clear messages to coaches

  • Build a recruiting plan that fits her goals

  • Understand how to read coach communication

  • Evaluate offers with confidence

  • Reduce stress for her and for you

This is about more than getting recruited. It’s about owning her future.

how it works

Full Service

For families who want a coach in their corner from start to finish. I work directly with athletes through every stage of the recruiting process — building the school list, guiding athletes on outreach to coaches, preparing for visits, and navigating decisions. You won't be figuring it out as you go.

Recruiting Intensive

Three focused sessions plus a month of follow-up. Whether you're just getting started or already in the middle of the process, we get clear on where an athlete stands, what the right schools look like, and exactly what to do next. A good fit for families who want an experienced coach's eye on their situation before committing to anything longer.

Performance Coaching

College coaches want athletes who are prepared to perform. This is that preparation. Training plans, technique, nutrition, mental performance, and coxswain development — built around where an athlete is right now and where they need to be. Available as a standalone service or alongside recruiting work.

Hourly advising is also available. Rates upon request.

To learn more or inquire about availability, email: bostoncoachingproject@proton.me
Specify the athlete's graduation year, position (rower or coxswain), and where they are in the recruiting process; that's enough to get the conversation going.

HI, I’M CLAIRE!

Coach. Mentor. Advocate for female athletes.

I’m Claire Martin-Doyle, the founder of The Boston Coaching Project and a former NCAA Division I rowing coach with nearly 20 years of experience helping young women succeed both in sport and in life.

As head coach at MIT, I led the Lightweight Women to their first-ever Division I Championship and coached All-Americans, scholar-athletes, and future U.S. National Team members.

Before that, I was a Division I rower myself. I know what it’s like to balance intense training, academic pressure, and big goals.

Now, I help female student-athletes and their families take control of the college recruiting process with strategy, clarity, and confidence.

My mission is simple:
Empower young women to own their path, find the right fit, and build a future that goes beyond sport.
