A self-guided course from Coach Claire
Get recruited for college rowing, one clear step at a time.
A self-guided course that turns a confusing process into a step-by-step plan. Your athlete builds a real recruiting portfolio as she goes, and she always knows her next move.
Enroll for $475Lifetime access. She can start as soon as you enroll.
The recruiting process is confusing, and most families go through it alone.
Timelines are unclear. The rules are easy to misread. Coaches expect athletes to reach out first, and most athletes have no idea what to say or when to say it. Strong opportunities pass by while families are still trying to figure out the first step.
Your athlete does not need to guess her way through this. She needs a clear path built by someone who spent 17 years on the college coaching side of it.
Self-guided, with a checkpoint at every step.
Your athlete works through this course at her own pace, and it is built around doing. Every module includes do-this-now checkpoints, action steps, and worksheets she completes as she goes. She is not only learning how recruiting works. She is building the actual materials she needs and finishing each module with real progress in hand.
What she walks away with
By the end of the course, your athlete will have:
- A researched target list of 20 to 30 schools, sorted by fit
- A complete athlete marketing package, including a one-page resume and instructions on obtaining athlete video or coxswain recordings
- A recruiting tracker she keeps current from her first coach email to her final decision
- Outreach, update, and follow-up email templates she can reuse
- Prepared questions and answers for coach calls and campus visits
- A clear framework for comparing offers and making a confident final decision
She finishes knowing exactly what to do at every stage, with a portfolio that proves she is ready.
This course is built for female student-athletes and their families.
- Rowers and coxswains who want to compete in college
- Athletes at any level, from Division I hopefuls to strong Division III fits
- Families who want a proven process they can follow together at home
- Athletes as early as freshman or sophomore year who want a head start, along with juniors and seniors who need to move now
The curriculum
Eight modules. A finished portfolio. One clear plan.
Understanding the Women's College Rowing Recruiting Landscape
Your athlete gets the big picture: her role in the process, how coaches evaluate prospects, how programs differ, why timelines matter, and what the college rowing lifestyle really looks like.
Understanding How Coaches Evaluate Rowers and Coxswains
She learns how coaches read her profile. Rowers look at 2K scores, height, race results, boat placement, and development. Coxswains look at recordings, boat placement, leadership, and communication. She also assesses her academics.
Building a Smart College List
She builds a balanced list based on fit and research, evaluating schools academically, athletically, socially, financially, and personally, then sorts them into reach, match, and safety.
Creating Your Athlete Marketing Package
She assembles the materials coaches want before she reaches out, including a one-page athletic resume, transcript, rowing video or coxswain recordings, a recruiting Instagram, a dedicated recruiting email, and an organized file system.
Outreach Strategy and First Coach Contact
She learns when and how to start reaching out professionally, how to personalize each email, what to attach, how to handle questionnaires, and how to email about five coaches a week until her list is contacted.
Managing Coach Communication and Follow-Up
Once outreach begins, she learns how to read coach responses and silence, time her follow-ups, send meaningful updates, avoid common mistakes, and keep her tracker as the command center of the process.
Coach Calls, Visits, and Recruiting Momentum
She prepares for real conversations and campus visits, from getting ready for a coach call and asking thoughtful questions to closing the call clearly and following up after a visit.
Offers, Decisions, and Final Steps
She and your family learn to understand what a coach is actually offering, covering recruiting language, admissions support, athletic aid, scholarships, financial fit, timing pressure, and how to accept, decline, or ask for more time with professionalism.
More than 75 checkpoints, worksheets, checklists, and templates.
This course runs on action. Across the eight modules, your athlete completes over 75 tangible deliverables, all anchored by one Recruiting Tracker she sets up in Module 3 and keeps current through her final decision in Module 8. The tools include self-evaluations for rowers and coxswains, academic and athletic fit worksheets, a one-page resume with video or recording checklists, ready-to-use email templates for every stage, visit prep and reflection worksheets, and decision-making frameworks for the final offers.
Nothing is left abstract. Every step gives her something to complete and something to show for it.
